Qinghai - John and nomadJohn Romankiewicz 罗大翰 Hi! I’m from the United States of America and am currently living in China with the support of a Fulbright scholarship.  I moved to China right after graduating from Northwestern University in June 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering.  Since I got here, I have been learning Chinese, interning for a company called New Energy Finance, traveling around the country, and learning as much as I can about the environmental problems and solutions of China.  After seeing and learning so much, I decided to make a video podcast so that other people in China and around the world could also learn about these issues.

Xiangyu in HuairouZhao Xiangyu (Shane) 赵祥宇 I come from a city called Qitaihe in Heilongjiang, the most northern province of China. My hometown produces tons and tons of coal every year, a kind of black gold that has been a big part of China’s economy boom.  I have always been concerned that China constantly needs more and more energy to support its development, and with this energy demand brings huge enviromental problems.  After I graduated from Nankai High School in Tianjin in 2006, I traveled in China to know more about my country and its environmetal problems.  After seeing this, John and I decided to make a podcast to let Chinese people and other countries around the world know more about China’s environmental issues.

    赵祥宇,

Hi, remember me? The girl who works in Sexy Beijing office and lost you gloves around February? I’m currently working as a fixer with Italy’s biggest weekly newspaper “Espresso” and we really want to interview you. The story is about what the young people in China are doing for the society. Would you like to talk with us for a hour somewhere in Beijing over some coffee this week? Please let me know! +86- 138 1064 8340

    Mia
